Manatee senior Alex Doran (above) is one of 10 Manatee County wrestlers who have qualified for the state tournament, which begins Friday and runs through Saturday at The Lakeland Center.
It's the fourth straight state trip for Doran, who became the first Hurricanes wrestler to win a state title as a freshman at the 2008 tournament.
Listed below are this year's qualifiers. Wrestling begins 10 a.m. Friday.

Congrats to all the wrestlers who pushed through to the next level. Of special note, Travis Fulk also is a 4X state qualifier. Bobby Latessa from 1999-2003 was the last Hurricane to achieve this before Travis and Alex. Good luck and lets get on that podium now!
ReplyDeleteJacob Gregory was a four-time state qualifier, too. He won a state title as a senior in 2009.
