LAKELAND - Three area wrestlers have been eliminated during the consolation round of the state tournament at The Lakeland Center.Lakewood Ranch's Evan Dipsiner (103 pounds) and Blake Riley-Hawkins (119) went 0-2 in Class 2A, as did Manatee's Donnie Jankowski (112) in Class 3A.
Manatee's Brett Barber (145) won his consolation match, and will wrestle again later this evening in the second round of wrestlebacks.
Braden River's Frank Bianco (135) and Lakewood Ranch's Kyle Riley-Hawkins (189) are also in consolation action, and Prep Rally will keep you updated throughout the day on how they are doing.
The championship quarterfinals, featuring Manatee's Ronny Whitt (103), Travis Fulk (135), Alex Doran (140) and Quinn Tibbetts (heavyweight), begin after the first round of consolation action is completed.
