LAKELAND - Manatee heavyweight Quinn Tibbetts is in the state finals of the Class 3A bracket.
The senior defeated Winter Springs' Scott Accomando 5-3 in Saturday morning's semifinal at The Lakeland Center.
Tibbetts faces Ricky Carter of Ocala Forest in tonight's finals, which are slated to get underway at 5 p.m.
Manatee's other semifinalist, Alex Doran, lost at 140 pounds to Winter Springs' Eric O'Neill by a score of 5-2.
Doran returns to action today in the fourth round of wrestlebacks, and can finish as high as third.
