LAKELAND - Travis Fulk has won his first state medeal.
Manatee's senior at 135 pounds, Fulk defeated Miami Braddock's Jorge de la Pena 5-2 Saturday morning at The Lakeland Center, advancing into the fourth round of wrestlebacks.
If Fulk beats Lake Brantley's Matt Shropshire, he will wrestle for third place during the consolation finals later this afternoon.
If not, he will wrestle for fifth place.
Manatee's Brett Barber (145) and Ronny Whitt (103) each fell one match short of medaling.
