Saint Stephen's trails Jacksonville Providence 1-0 with one half remaining in a Class 2A boys soccer state semifinal at University of Tampa's Pepin Stadium.
The Stallions took the lead at the 16:46 mark, when Austin Swaim scored off a pass from Tucker Schwartz.
The Falcons' best chance came early in the half on a shot from Sam Lynch. But Providence's Tanner Doudna made a diving save and slapped it away.
The second half is about to resume.
The winner plays Delray Beach American Heritage at 7:35 p.m. Thursday for the state title.
