Weinke will serve as the head coach and quarterbacks coach when IMG makes its debut Aug. 24.
The rest of his staff was announced Thursday:
E.G. Green, offensive coordinator/wide receivers; Joe Sturdivant, defensive coordinator/linebackers; Michael Gruttadauria, offensive line; Adam Behrends, running backs/asst. quarterbacks coach; Michael Hawthorne, defensive backs; Andrew Myers, defensive line.
IMG is an independent member of the Florida High School Athletic Association, which means it cannot compete for district, regional or state titles. The team will play its home games at IMG Academy Stadium, which is pictured above in a rendering provided by IMG.
The school also announced it will field a cross country and track and field team beginning in the fall.
