A new poll is up here at Prep Rally, and it's pretty basic: pick the best football team in area heading into Week 3.
Is it Palmetto and coach Dave Marino, pictured above, which is 2-0 after convincing wins over Riverview and Sarasota? Or maybe it's Southeast, also 2-0 following Friday's win against Lakewood Ranch.
Or maybe it's Manatee, which nearly beat nationally-ranked Our Lady of Good Counsel on the road two weeks ago and ran all over the Rams on Friday night.
It can be any of the 10 teams in our coverage area. It's up to you.
It is definitely a great time to be a Manatee County area football fan. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Tigers will match up against Southeast and Manatee on the field this year. Should be some great games ahead. Red!-Black!-GO TIGERS!
