Though the prep baseball seasons is still in its infancy, Tuesday night's non-district game between Saint Stephen's and Manatee is worth a look.
First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. under the lights at G.T. Bray.
The Falcons are 4-2 one year after winning their sixth district title - and first since 2003 - under head coach Rob Viera, a Manatee alum now in his second season at Saint Stephen's.
Manatee (3-0) made strides in head coach Dwayne Strong's second season last spring, reaching the regional playoffs for the first time since 2002.
Tuesday's game is the lone meeting this year for the two teams, who did not play each other in 2009.
