The East beat the West 13-10 during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday that featured Manatee standout Mike Blakely.
Blakely didn't have any carries or receptions, but returned a kickoff 16 yards for the East team, which leads the series 6-5.
The game was played in front of a series-high crowd of 37,893 fans at the Alamodome.
Blakely graduated from Manatee in December and begins taking classes Monday at the University of Florida. He committed to the Gators in late October.
Tampa Plant's James Wilder Jr. put the East ahead to stay when he scored on a 3-yard run with 3:38 remaining in the fourth quarter.
