Prep football: Manatee still No.1 in USA Today Super 25

As expected, Manatee maintained its top ranking in USA Today’s Super 25, which was released today.

The Hurricanes blitzed past Riverview 49-7 on Friday, improving to 2-0 on the season and remaining at No.1 for the second straight week.

Miami Central, Manatee’s opponent Friday at Hawkins Stadium, is at No. 23 following Friday’s win over Miami Booker T. Washington.

Central began the year at No.1 before losing its first game to Grayson (Ga.). Grayson is ranked third, behind No.2 De La Salle out of Concord, Calif.
