Prep football: MaxPreps ranks Manatee No. 1 in the nation

Anthony Lauro and the Manatee Hurricanes are considered the nation's No.1 team by MaxPreps, which unveiled its preaseason rankings at midnight.
Manatee went 13-2 last season and won the Class 7A state championship.
“There are teams that have a little bit more talent and had a better last year than Manatee," said Stephen Spiewak, MaxPreps' national football editor. "But no one, in my opinion, has the mix of accomplishment and experience, with so many kids coming back.”
