Manatee County's track and field championships take place Friday at Manatee, beginning with the field events at 4:30 p.m. The running finals are set to begin at 6:30 p.m., said Mike Smith, Manatee's boys coach.
The event will serve as a warm-up of sorts for the district meets, which get underway Monday, April 9.
