Two Bradenton Christian football players have signed with colleges.
Tony Williams, a three-year starter on offensive line, is headed to Birmingham-Southern College. Williams blocked for a pair of 1,500-yard passers and a 1,300-rusher, and also saw time on defensive line, where he stockpiled 183 tackles and five sacks.
Birmingham-Southern is a Division III school in Alabama. The football program was revived in 2007 after the first stint lasted from 1918-39.
John Giardina, a running back and linebacker, is going to The Catholic University of America. Giardina had 668 rushing yards and 215 yards last season while chipping in with 58 tackles.
Located near Washington, D.C., CUA is a Division III school.
Bradenton Christian host Saint Stephen's in a spring game Friday, May 17.
