Bellamy replaces Randy Smith, who stepped down after three seasons.
A Sarasota graduate, Bellamy recently worked under Stefan Gates at Cardinal Mooney, and helped the Cougars reach the Class 3A-Region 3 championship game.
"Hopefully with a renewed emphasis on tough defense and fundamentals," Kinnan said, "Manatee's basketball team will return to a competitive level under Troy's leadership."
