Allie Clements (No. 6) and Rebecca Butler will help lead Manatee's volleyball team into the Class 7A-District 11 tournament, which gets underway next week.
All the area teams begin postseason play next week, and a number of them are home.
Listed below are the playoff matchups for each district. The district champion and runner-up advance to the regional tournaments, which begin Tuesday Nov. 1 (Classes 1A, 3A, 5A, 7A) and Wednesday, Nov. 2 (2A, 4A, 6A, 8A).
All district games are at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Each team's seed is listed in parentheses.
CLASS 7A-DISTRICT 11
Monday, Oct. 24 - (5) Port Charlotte at (4) Braden River; (6) Sarasota at (3) Charlotte.
Tuesday, Oct. 25 - (1) Venice* at Port Charlotte/Braden River; Sarasota/Charlotte at (2) Manatee.
Thursday, Oct. 27 - Championship, 7 p.m., TBA
*- Venice cannot host any postseason matches as per the Florida High School Athletic Association.
