Manatee grad Mike Blakely has a shoulder injury and will miss spring practice at Florida, according to this report from Gatorsports.com.
Blakely will undergo surgery Wednesday, according to the story.
The running back rushed for over 1,900 yards as a senior for Manatee, helping the Hurricanes reach the Class 5A state semifinals. He graduated high school early and enrolled at Florida on Jan. 10.
Blakely missed part of his sophomore season recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, though it is unknown if the two injuries are related.
